Wax Melt Safety Guidelines

  1. Remove packaging before use.
Always take wax melts out of any packaging before placing them in your warmer.

  2. Use only approved wax warmers.
Use tea light warmers or UL-listed electric warmers specifically designed for wax melts. Never melt wax on stovetops or in unapproved appliances. If using a tea light warmer, also follow standard candle safety practices.

  3. Use in well-ventilated areas, away from flammable materials.
Always melt wax in an open space with proper airflow. Keep warmers away from curtains, paper, and other flammable items.

  4. Do not add water.
Wax melts are not meant to be diluted. Adding water can cause splattering or unsafe conditions.

  5. Keep away from children and pets.
Warmers and melted wax can become hot. Always place them out of reach of small hands and curious paws.

  6. Never leave unattended.
Always monitor your wax warmer while in use. Turn it off before leaving the room or going to sleep.

  7. Place on a heat-resistant surface.
Set warmers on a flat, stable, and heat-safe surface to prevent heat damage.

  8. Limit melting time.
To avoid overheating or wax discoloration, do not operate your warmer for more than 4 hours at a time.

  9. Do not move the wax while hot.
Let the wax cool completely before handling or removing it from the warmer.

  10. Replace wax as needed.
Wax warmers release fragrance without reducing the amount of wax. Once the scent fades, turn off the warmer, let the wax cool, and replace it. Discontinue use if less than ½ inch of wax remains in the dish.

  11. Follow your warmer’s instructions.
Each model is different. Refer to your warmer’s user manual for specific safety and usage guidelines.

  12. Store melts properly.
Keep unused wax melts in a cool, dry place away from heat or sunlight to maintain their fragrance and shape.
